Granary Cottage is a charming rural retreat set within the peaceful grounds of Metlands Farm on the outskirts of Bridlington. With sweeping countryside views, a wood burning stove, and your own private hot tub, it’s the perfect base for a small family or two couples looking to explore the East Yorkshire coast, with up to two well-behaved dogs very welcome to join you.

What’s Included

Inside, a wood burning stove creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout. The fully equipped kitchen has a dishwasher and fridge freezer, and there’s fast WiFi, a 48″ TV, and a collection of books and games for evenings in.

Outside, the private patio is where Granary Cottage really comes into its own. Settle into one of the four large relaxing chairs or gather around the picnic table, and when the day winds down, ease into the hot tub and take in the open countryside views stretching out around you. There’s also a BBQ and a shared bike store for those who fancy exploring the local lanes.

The garden is fully enclosed making it ideal for families and dogs alike.

Location & local area

Granary Cottage sits within Metlands Farm, just outside Bridlington on the East Yorkshire coast. RSPB Bempton Cliffs is just a short walk away, one of England’s finest wildlife reserves, where puffins, gannets, and kittiwakes return to nest each spring and summer.

Bridlington’s beaches, harbour, and town centre are a short drive away, with Flamborough Head, Filey, and Scarborough all easily reachable for days out along the coast.

Directions:

On the A165 Scarborough to Bridlington road at the Dotterel roundabout take the road leading to Bempton. Follow this road through the villages of Buckton and Bempton.  On leaving the village of Bempton after approximately a mile take the left hand turn signposted Wandale Farm. Follow this track which bends round to the right. Go straight ahead and Metlands Farm is in front of you. As you pull in the drive the cottage is on your right hand side. SatNav YO15 1JG.

Guest access:

The Granary is access form the courtyard; the entrance is at ramp access level. Onsite parking next to the cottage

Whenever possible the owners will meet you, but if not, there is a key safe on the right where you park.
