The Stables is a beautifully converted barn cottage set in open countryside on the outskirts of Bridlington, with far-reaching views across the East Yorkshire farmland. Thoughtfully restored to keep its original character, it blends rustic charm with everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing stay.

Sleeping two guests in a double bedroom with a 4’6″ bed, The Stables is ideal for couples looking for a peaceful break on the Yorkshire coast, with one well-behaved dog very welcome to join you.

What’s Included

The Stables has everything you need for a comfortable self-catering stay. Inside, underfloor heating and a wood burning stove keep things cosy whatever the season, and the fully equipped kitchen has an electric oven, microwave, slow cooker, dishwasher, and fridge freezer. For quieter evenings in there’s fast WiFi, a 48″ TV, and a collection of books and games.

Step outside and the private patio has a wood-fired hot tub, BBQ, and garden furniture, perfect for long evenings with a drink and an East Yorkshire sky above you. There’s also an electric car charging point on site, a shared laundry room, and a shared bike store for exploring the local lanes and coastal paths.

Location & local area

Metlands Farm sits just outside Bridlington on the East Yorkshire coast, with some of the region’s finest attractions right on your doorstep.

RSPB Bempton Cliffs is just a short walk away. One of England’s most spectacular wildlife reserves, home to hundreds of thousands of seabirds including puffins, gannets, and kittiwakes between spring and late summer.

Bridlington town, harbour, and beaches are a short drive away, with Flamborough Head, Filey, and Scarborough all easily reachable for day trips along the coast.

Directions:

On the A165 Scarborough to Bridlington road at the Dotterel roundabout take the road leading to Bempton. Follow this road through the villages of Buckton and Bempton.  On leaving the village of Bempton after approximately a mile take the left hand turn signposted Wandale Farm. Follow this track which bends round to the right. Go straight ahead and Metlands Farm is in front of you. As you pull in the drive the cottage is on your right hand side. SatNav YO15 1JG.

Guest access:

The Stables has one car park space next to the front door and the access is on one level. The garden is fully fenced.

Whenever possible the owners will meet you, but if not, there is a key safe on the right where you park.
